Minecraft (Pocket Edition)
Sheep
Obtaining
Sheep are found throughout Minecraft. They are a Passive (not hostile) Mob creature. They can be killed with any block, though most efficiently with a Sword.
If you want to lead a Sheep back to your ranch or farm you can do so by holding Wheat in your hot bar. The Sheep will follow you. If you feed Wheat to two Sheep they will enter Love Mode and spawn a Lamb (see Breeding). Note that Lambs do not produce Wool.
Usage / Purpose
Sheep cannot be used a food source. When killed they only produce Wool (which can also be acquired without killing the Sheep with the use of Shears).
Drops / Yields
Sheep drop up to three Wool when killed or sheared.
Notes
Sheep are available in both Survival Mode (as a naturally spawning creature), or in Creative Mode as a Spawn Sheep Egg.
The color of a Sheep's Wool can be changed through the use of Dye either when the Sheep is alive or after it has been Sheared. If you Dye a live Sheep it will continue to produce Wool of that color type. If you grow tired of that color of Sheep, you can re-Dye it another color.
Sheep spawn in a few colors even without coloring them. They naturally appear as Black, Gray, White and sometimes (though not commonly) as Pink.
